AVONEX® (Interferon beta-1a) Can Now Be Started At The First Clinical Signs Of Multiple Sclerosis!

If you are now taking, or have ever taken, therapy for multiple sclerosis (MS), you know the importance of choosing a treatment with proven efficacy. With that in mind, we want to share recent good news about the efficacy of AVONEX® (Interferon beta-1a). The US Food and Drug= 0Administration (FDA) recently approved the use of AVONEX for people who have experienced their first MS attack and have MRI features consistent with MS.

This means people with MS can now take an earlier, more active role in treating and slowing the progression of disability by choosing to start on AVONEX.

• People with MS can now start AVONEX without having to wait until a second attack occurs.
• In the 3-year CHAMPS* study, AVONEX significantly – by 44% - reduced the risk of a second attack in people with MS.
• The National Multiple Sclerosis Society (NMSS) recommends people diagnosed with MS be treated as early as possible.

Please talk to your doctor to see if AVONEX therapy is right for you.
