My story by Avery E. Ray

Good afternoon.
My name is Avery, and I have been disabled since November 9, 1984. I fell on a job down in Texas , while working with mobile cranes. At that time, I ruptured L5. After a failed laminectomy, I was told I would never work again, and that medication would not be able to stop my pain. I was 29 years old, with a beautiful wife, and two young children.

Since that time, I have ruptured two more disks, L4 and L3. I also have CTS in both wrists, and a whip lash injury which causes pain and numbness down my right arm. In 1990, I was attacked by two men, and received a broken left cheekbone, and of course, during surgery they damaged a nerve. Therefore, I have pain and numbness in entire left side of face.

Also had surgery to "fix" a hernia, causing yet another pinched or damaged nerve, and the pain and numbness which go with it! LOL

Now, I have recently began having severe, chronic headaches. They start when I wake up, and continue until I go to sleep. Other than all this, I guess I feel pretty good.

I have no medical insurance, because I don't qualify. I have not taken medications since 1984. The Lord has been good to me, and I have adapted to the pain.

This, in a nutshell is my story. I hope this helps. Thank you for supplying a forum for which to express my frustrations at the so-called doctors.
Sincerely,
Avery E. Ray
