I think when I find myself in a situation where choices are taken from me, I don't know about you, but I come out screaming.  I don't think I am made up to accept rules, ultimatiums or changes unless I am the one that chooses to make them on my own.  I guess in a sense I am in control of my life and I can't convince myself that I haven't been doing a good job.  Thing is, that's exactly what I haven't been doing. 

My visit to the Primary care doctor was overall excellent in my opinion.  I have been faithful to the diet, I have been faithful taking my meds and I have increased my exercise as the doctor mandated.  My weight is staying about the same which is so surprising since I have omitted sugar and lowered my carbs considerably...my sugar readings are in a good range....my blood pressure is in a comfortable range although the doctor still wants to see it down a bit more. 

The solution to reach this goal is of course another little white pill. The only thing that wasn't in my "plan" was the fact that the doctor after again hearing a murmor that I've had since I was five, decided he needed to have a look at my heart and see what all the music was about.  So, another appointment found me lying on a cold table with jelly all over my belly as the tech. did an ultra-sound on my heart.

I was able to watch and definately my heart is pumping and working and although the tech. couldn't disclose any results my gut tells me all was fine!!  At least I haven't heard anything to the contrary and ....ready for this?.....My cataract surgery is approved and will happen this Wednesday, April 6th.  The exciting part of this chapter is looking forward to writing the next one because I won't have to use a magnifying glass to read what I have just written.  In otherwards, I'll be SEEING you soon.
